STATUS UPDATE: In May, Copper Valley Telecom will start breaking ground for 2022 Fiber-to-the-Home construction season! Additionally, the Customer Service Department will soon reach out to customers to schedule in-home installations for construction completed in 2021. Updated 04.22.22

2022 Construction

Frigid temperatures and wild terrain are par for the course in rural Alaska. Extreme working conditions don’t stop Copper Valley Telecom from bringing you the best connections available.

This year’s construction season is once again off to an early start to reach more customers while reducing our environmental impact by digging on frozen ground and minimalizing disruptions to the local ecosystem.

CVT is preparing for a season of an exceptional number of new Fiber-to-the-Home builds, bringing fiber internet to over 483 new households and businesses! Construction completed this year will allow for in-home installations next summer. Customers will be contacted when installations become available in their area.

Expect to see Copper Valley Telecom contractors and employees alongside the road system and on property within the utility easement while building fiber in your area. Check the list below to see which advancements are headed your way in the coming months.
