Copper Valley Telecom, in conjunction with the City of Valdez and other local businesses, is celebrating Wear Pink Day on October 13th in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day.
On October 6, the City of Valdez officially proclaimed October 13th as Valdez Wears Pink Day. Read the City of Valdez proclamation here.
We invite everyone in Valdez, Glennallen, Cordova, and all the communities we serve to join us in wearing pink! Wear pink to honor those we’ve lost, celebrate survivors, and show support for individuals and families affected by breast cancer.
Breast cancer awareness goes beyond wearing pink. Know your risk, notice the changes, get checked. Learn about your personal risk factors, be familiar with changes in your body, and talk with your healthcare provider about recommended screenings. Early detection matters.
Who are you wearing pink for? Download and print your own “I’m Wearing Pink For…” sign using the link below. Add a name or message to honor someone special, then share your photo on social media using the hashtag for your community:
- Valdez: #ValdezWearsPink
- Glennallen: #GlennallenWearsPink
- Cordova: #CordovaWearsPink
Let’s fill our communities with pink and show our support for everyone affected by breast cancer!
