2023 Election Results

In the Glennallen District 1032 ballot packages were mailed to active members.  The Credentials and Election Committee received 231 return envelopes.  Of those received, 205 were validated, which means the signature on the envelope matched the signatures on file at CVTC. With 190 votes, the Glennallen District membership has elected Karen Linnell to serve a three year term.

In the Valdez District 1098 ballot packages were mailed to active members.  The Credentials and Election Committee received 180 return envelopes.  Of those received, 164 were validated, which means the signature on the envelope matched the signatures on file at CVTC. With 148 votes, the Valdez District membership has elected Scott Malone to serve a three year term.

Bylaw ballots are tallied as a whole and include the votes of both the Valdez and Glennallen districts. The results of the proposed bylaw changes are as follows:

Proposition 1, Clarifying Term Limits has passed with 328 votes for and 27 against.
Proposition 2, Protecting Against Litigation by Candidates and Board Members has passed with 317 votes for and 38 against.
Proposition 3, Establishing Procedure for Filling Board Vacancies has passed with 333 votes for and 22 against.

Per CVT’s bylaws, members may file a written protest or objection to these results within three (3) business days following this online publication. The deadline for a protest or objection to be filed is 12pm on Wednesday, May 17th, 2023.
